This circuit is 3.45 miles long and this is the first time that the Formula 1 Championship has been held in Abu Dhabi. The intention to do so was released back in 2007 and the date was set for this coming Sunday. This race is also special in the fact that there has never been a day-night Grand Prix before. The championship moves to Brazil for its penultimate round, with a thrilling race and title showdown anticipated. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso is the new championship leader, with 231 points, having moved ahead of his four rivals by winning the inaugural Korean Grand Prix two weeks ago. That race resulted in a no-score for former championship leader Mark Webber and Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel.
