at the Abu Dhabi F1 Festival in the United Arab Emirates. The first race took place on November 1, 2009, held at the Hermann Tilke designed Yas Marina Circuit. On June 25, 2008, the FIA announced the provisional agenda for the 2009 Formula One calendar as the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as the race 19 and the end of the season on November 15.
On November 5, 2008, however, it was announced that the race will be held the end of the season on November 1st, two weeks before the date initially planned for 17 and the final race.
